YouTube to MP3/MP4 Downloader

Save a YouTube video as an MP3 audio file or an MP4 video file by pasting its link; regular watch links, youtu.be short links and Shorts URLs are recognised. For MP4 you can optionally trim the video to a start and end time and remove the audio track. You must be signed in to download.

How to use

  1. Sign in to your Quto account.
  2. Paste the full YouTube URL of the video.
  3. Choose MP3 (Audio) or MP4 (Video); for MP4 you can optionally enter a start and end time and tick "Remove audio (silent)".
  4. Click Download; the file is saved as <video ID>.mp3 or <video ID>.mp4.

Frequently asked questions

Which time formats can I use for trimming?

Use HH:MM:SS, MM:SS or a plain number of seconds, for example 1:02:30, 2:15 or 135. The end time must be after the start time. Leave both fields blank to download the full video.

Can I trim an MP3 download?

No. Trimming and "Remove audio" are only available for MP4. MP3 downloads contain the full audio track.

Why do I need to sign in?

Downloads are processed on Quto's servers, so the feature is limited to signed-in users.

Am I allowed to download any video?

Only download videos you own or have permission to save, and respect YouTube's terms of service and the creator's copyright.
